I use the Pantene line for natural, wavy hair, for shampoo, and conditioner. For moisturizer I use tea tree oil, and the rest of my products are by a line called Africa's Best including detangler, gel, etc.
Since my big chop, I've gotten my hair professionally done and I don't have to do anything to it, but put a little moisturizer in it when I twist it up at night.
My favorite hairstyle is a dry twist-out on straightened hair! I love the way the curls end up, and how it produces a slight beach wave feel to it!
My natural hair journey was rough! While transitioning, it was hard for me to adapt to not having my hair lay flat down like I was used to, and I didn't really know how to manage it at first. My roughest moment was after taking my kinky twists out, and having half straight hair, and half permed hair when I couldn't do ANYTHING with it. It was so hard to style, and I was desperate.
My proudest natural moment was doing my first twistout after the big chop! I couldn't believe that after all this time I was officially a natural girl!
My tips for other naturals is to just remember that we all may look different, but you're beautiful in your own special way!
