Kim Kimble is a renowned celebrity hairstylist who stars in her own television reality show L.A Hair (WeTV). I have watched several episodes of the show and seemingly she is very talented. However, I rarely seen her styling natural hair, so it was interesting when I came across these videos on youtube. Kim demonstrates 3 quick natural hair updo's and in the second video she demonstrates a flat twist out using Pantene Natural Hair Products. The styles weren't extremely impressive but somewhat decent (in my opinion)....I would love to see Kim spend a little more time displaying her talent in working with natural hair, specifically on her television reality show. But who I am..... What do you all think of Kim's skills with natural hair? Well, its been a couple weeks since my last blog entry. I have been extremely busy working, conferences and training. I know many of you working mothers/wives know the drill. While attending conferences I have run into a few natural hair colleagues. It was awesome to share and amuse ourselves with natural hair talk. A few of the ladies inquired about the smoothness of my curls. So I decided to share my process of achieving those smooth curls..... Its very simple, I blow dry my washed hair using medium heat or I sit under a hair dryer until it is completely dry (pictured above). After its dry, (sometimes) I pull into a ponytail for a day to give it a little more stretch. When I'm ready to style, I use rods, eco styler gel and Black Jamaican Castor Oil. If I want the style to last 7 days I use Murrays, yep you read it right.....Murrays hair dressing. That stuff make my hairstyles last forever!!!!! BUT its a beast to wash out. I have been using Murrays for about 9 months, I haven't noticed any damage and it works for my hair. In both pictures below, I used Murrays and Eco Styler gel to style my hair. Featuring my handsome Hubby :) I'd like to hear from you ladies...How do you achieve smooth curls heat or heatless? Naturally beautiful, this Natural Diva is rocking a fierce twist-out!!!!! Here's how she accomplished big fluffy define curls: "This is a twist-out using As I Am Double Butter Cream. I did small twists on stretched hair. I re-twist at night in bigger sections to maintain it."
