I was experimenting with my hair this past week by adding an inverted braid. I started from a 3 day old rod set. Sectioned half my hair and then began the in-braid ending on the back-side of my hair. It was fairly easy and didn't take long to accomplish. My hair lasted another 3 days in this style. Very simple, easy and convenient.

Claims: “ A great leave-in is a vital first step in styling. Smooth it on after cleansing and conditioning to seal the cuticle layer, boost shine and prepare your hair for styling. Your finished style will be softer shinier and more manageable. This natural wonder keeps tangles away and provides a great foundation for natural styling. It contains an organic strengthening agent, plus natural ingredients that promote hair growth”….. (http://www.asiamnaturally.com)
Benefits · Eases wet combing · Helps strengthen hair · Seals the cuticle layer · Supports healthy hair growth · Adds moisture and shine · Prepares your hair for styling · Especially beneficial if custard, gel or setting cream is to be applied for final styling Review: Up until I discovered this product, I was really frustrated that I couldn't find a good leave-in. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! As soon as I apply to my hair, it becomes very soft and manageable. It only takes a very small amount to do the job. I have a lot of hair and often times have to use double the amount when using other products….Not with this leave-in conditioner. Even though it comes in a small bottle, it last me 4 -6 weeks. This product is very light and has the aroma of coconut. I love that it has two of my favorite ingredients, Coconut and Amla. I have experimented with this product to determine its effectiveness. When applying before styling, I found that my hairstyle was more defined, soft with fewer frizzes. When I didn't apply the leave-in conditioner, my hair was a bit frizzy with a little hardness. Therefore, this product has become a staple in my life…..Can’t live without!!! I have tried other AS I AM products….I am not a fan of the Twist Defining Cream, check out my review on that product by clicking here. OMG!!! Meet Natural Diva Karol. Here's what she had to say about her natural hair.
How long have you been natural: Since 1999 about 14 years. Reason for going Natural: I decided I didn't want anymore chemicals in my hair. Its is healthier and its one of the best decision I've made in life. Favorite Products: Shea Moisture Favorite Hairstyle: Curly or Silked-Out. What advice would you give other naturals: Enjoy your natural hair journey! I was so excited to enjoy some Curl Time with my Curl Friends last Saturday night! Just enough beautiful curlies to have great curl talk and lots of fun!!! We mingled, laughed, learned a few things about caring for our coils and danced the night away! Yesterday I washed my hair and decided to take a few pictures for a quick tutorial on how to clarify natural hair. It had been a week since I last washed my hair. First, I saturated my hair with hot/warm water to loosen the product build-up. I sectioned my hair and began to scrub it with Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo. After thoroughly cleansing I twisted each section. Upon completing the shampoo process, I removed each twist and rinsed one at time. The bottom right picture shows completely washed hair. After rinsing out all the shampoo, I began the clarifying process with Apple Cider Vinegar. The benefits of ACV is that it removes all excess product build up, it provides shine and squeaky clean hair. Warning, frequently using ACV rinses can cause dry hair. Therefore, I only clarify my hair once a month with ACV. Generally after a month my hair becomes blah, weighed down, or uncooperative, which means its time for an ACV. Okay, back to the clarifying process, I use a big mixing bowl while I pour the ACV on my hair. I make sure the bowl is underneath my hair as I pour. Once finished with the first ACV rinse, I saturate my hair with water. I then put my entire head into the bowl and allow the left over ACV to penetrate my hair. After a few seconds, I rinse the ACV out of my hair with warm water. Results SUPER clean hair! After clarifying my hair I deep condition using Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque (love this stuff!!). Rinse it out after 30 minutes and use As I am Leave-In Conditioner...... I sectioned, braided and used the orange rods on the ends of my hair. Styling products used were Black Jamaican Castor Oil and Eco Styler Gel. Results below.

I haven't dressed up for Halloween since I was a little girl. My youngest son came up with this bright idea to dress up like Mr. Brown and that I accompany him as Madea. I must say it was fun!
